INEGI (SCNM, Quarterly GDP)

Quarterly
Release
INEGI publishes quarterly GDP (SCNM) around the 24th-25th of the second month after the quarter closes; the Timely GDP Estimate (EOPIBT) comes earlier, 30 days after the quarter closes.
What it is
Mexico's quarterly gross domestic product, published by INEGI within the National Accounts System (SCNM), measures the value of goods and services produced in the quarter and is the benchmark gauge of the country's economic growth.
How it's calculated
INEGI computes GDP at constant prices (2018=100) in both original and seasonally adjusted series. The year-on-year change is taken from the original series and the quarter-on-quarter change from the seasonally adjusted one.
Market implications
It is Mexico's most closely followed growth indicator: it defines the economic cycle and shapes Banxico's monetary policy decisions, with a direct bearing on the peso and the rate curve.
Limitations
It comes in two estimates (flash and final) and is subject to revision; the original series carries calendar effects, so it is best cross-checked against the seasonally adjusted figure.
