Release Publicación anual, referida al conjunto del ejercicio y sujeta a revisión.
What it isAnnual Gross Domestic Product measures the value of all goods and services produced in Ukraine over the year. Compiled by the State Statistics Service (Ukrstat), it is the broadest gauge of the size and pace of growth of the Ukrainian economy.
How it's calculatedUkrstat estimates GDP in volume terms (constant prices), aggregating the value added of all sectors. The annual figure consolidates the quarterly data, with growth expressed as a change from the previous year.
Market implicationsIt is the main benchmark for the Ukrainian cycle, dominated by the war. The figure is key for the National Bank of Ukraine, for the IMF programme and for gauging external financing needs and debt sustainability.
LimitationsIt is released with a lag and later revised. The war makes measurement extremely difficult: some territories fall outside statistical coverage, migration is heavy and the informal economy is large, so the figures carry more uncertainty than usual.
